Conference

Whilst Horntye Park Sports Complex, a national registered charity, was built originally as a specific sports facility. It soon became apparent, however, that, there were other important areas of operation, that the complex could offer and thus creating much-needed funds to support the Charitable Aims of the Company.

Horntye Park is fortunate in having available a series of room accommodation to allow for small, medium and relatively large meetings / conferences, ranging from 6 to 120 delegates. There have even been occasions when the whole of the complex has been taken over for specific large functions. Such times are the Annual International Chess Congress and the local and General Elections count. We believe that this amply demonstrates the flexibility and diversities of the Complex and its staff.

There are five rooms ideally suited to make any meeting or conference a success from the accommodation / equipment point of view.

• Cornwallis Suite
• Long Room
• Club Room

Each of these rooms is sited to provide delegates and attendees with quietness and an uninterrupted environment. Making the meeting or conference conducive to information retention.

Free car parking is available, each room has level access with all necessary amenities close at hand and is most suitable for disabled delegates.

All of our meeting rooms can be reserved by the hour, by the session or by the inclusive complete function (i.e. delegate price).

Committee Room

Rectangle shaped room with a two-door entrance and windows facing south overlooking the Cricket Pitch.

The overall size is 8.5M x 3.5M. The center of the room is taken up with an oval Committee room table with sufficient space for 20 delegates with arm chair seating. All necessary equipment such as screen, OHP, flipcharts, wipe boards, Projector and lap tops are available for your use upon request.

This room is ideal for the smaller meeting and can be reserved by the hour.

Games Room

4.5M x 3.5M internal space and can be used as a link room to the Board Room or the Long Room, with access into each of them.

This room is well suited for small panel meetings or one to one meetings. It is light and airy and overlooks the south facing aspect.

Long Room

This room gives a degree of flexibility of room set ups, with varying consequences of delegate numbers.

• Open activity up to 80

The room is upper ground floor, centrally situated with a south facing aspect.

There is access to a wide balcony and overlooks the cricket field with views to the sea.

Should it be required, this room has its own bar facilities it is spectacularly light and airy and offers superb accommodation for the sizes outlined earlier.

All meeting equipment is available upon request . Catering service of your design can be supplied within the confines of the room or In a separate location within the Complex. Cornwallis Suite

A really unusual shaped room with many advantages for a successful conference or meeting. The room is situated on the upper ground floor level, hexagonal in shape and predominately glazed, with access from five points to a wide, covered, balcony, giving superb expansive views of a south facing aspect. Room sets can be varied as per requirement.

Delegate numbers are as follows

• Theatre Style with top table and equipment up to 120
• Cabaret / Café Style (round or square tables) up to 45
• Lecture Style up to 50
• Classroom Style up to 80

This room is equipped with a hearing induction loop system and a sound / visual system can be available upon request.

It is ideally suited for disabled participants and is well located for easy access to the various personal amenities.

Should it be required, there are bar facilities within this room and licence extensions can be applied for. Catering facilities of your choice ca be served within the room or at a location within close proximity.

The room can be reserved by the hour, by the session or by a fixed delegate price to cover all costs.

Club Room

This room is a virtual mirror of the Cornwallis Suite except that it is located on the lower ground floor.

It's features are the same as Cornwallis for the various room sets

However, there is an advantage of this room, should the meeting or conference be associated with a sporting element, in as much, that the room is in a close proximity of the All Weather Pitch (Astro-Turf), the sports hall and Cricket Field. This gives the room excellent flexibility of uses.

Again should it be needed, the Club Room has its own integral bar with draught and bottled beer etc. Catering provision is normally taken within the room, but flexibility allows for other locations to be used if that is your preference.

Access is very easy for all participating delegates and visitors, free car parking is close at hand for up to 200 vehicles. Our full range of meeting equipment is available on request.
