Development at Horntye Park

During the last 7 years Horntye Park has become established as a premier venue for sports, conferences and weddings, and is proud of the success achieved in the development of local fitness and sport participation.

The Trustees and Management have been working hard to secure the future of HPSC and have agreed, in principle, to release a portion of unused land for residential development. This will provide the capital to allow expansion of the venue for a wider range of sporting and conference facilities.

We would like to invite you to view the proposal, which will be displayed at Horntye on 28th and 29th September 2007. We would welcome the opportunity to show those of you who already use and appreciate the facility, and those of you yet to discover the benefits it offers, why this development is necessary to secure the future of Horntye Park Sports Complex.

Horntye is a registered charity which receives no financial support from external sources and as a result must generate its own funding. The stated aim of the charity is to "To provide sport and recreation facilities and opportunities for the people of Hastings". As such any capital raised from this proposal must be used for these purposes and cannot be distributed to any other body or persons.

Community involvement is essential for the sucsess of HPSC, and we are keen to discuss any concerns you may have over the impact of future development. The Trustees, the Management Team and representatives of the developers will be avaliable on both days from 10am to 4pm to explain the proposal and address and questions you may have.

We look forward to seeing you.

General Manager

Busy Times at Horntye Park

Weddings and Party Bookings up on Last Year

We have a lot of bookings throughout this year for parties and wedding receptions, a big gain on last year both numerically and financially. The superb Cornwallis Suite continues to draw people in and generates massive amounts of interest for all kinds of bookings, ranging from charity evenings to wedding receptions and parties, as well as the hundreds of daily bookings for AGM's and meetings. The combination of its high ceiling and fantastic view of the cricket ground and Hastings make it a fabulous venue.
