Update on Horntye Park relocation plans
The Horntye Park Trustees announced some considerable time ago their intention to relocate the Charity’s operations to a proposed new sports village at Bulverhythe Recreation Ground, Bexhill Road which it was envisaged would be called the Combe Valley Sports Village.
Just before Christmas 2017 Keepmoat Homes, the project’s development partner made public their intent to withdraw due to changing focus of their business. Since when progress on the project has been slow for various reasons, despite all the Trustees considerable efforts to find a timely replacement developer. This has led the other partners including Hastings United F.C., who were also relocating, to amicably resolve upon abandoning the project. In view of this outcome, the Trustees have been and are in discussion with others, to ensure continuance of the Charity’s operations.

The Trustees are pleased to announce that they are already engaged in the process of bringing to fruition these alternative and exciting options for the Charity’s future provision of sport and recreation in the town. In due course, they will be publicly announcing the details of their preferred scheme.
